Company History

Tom Adams and Brad Hendrickson, both electrical engineers with system integration and process control experience, founded Crown ESA as an S-Corporation in 1992. Building its business through specialized steel mill process control implementation, the Company cultivated a highly regarded reputation in Indiana and enjoyed a high annual revenue growth since its inception. Bill English joined Crown ESA in January 1993, further enhancing the Company's presence within the local steel mill market through his industry connections. In 1998, Dave Jancosek left his job as manager of the local General Electric service office to buy into Crown ESA and become a partner of the company. Dave brings a professionalism and creditability that has lead to the company's ability to capture larger projects thorough his immense contacts within the industry. Tom Adams, Brad Hendrickson, Bill English and David Jancosek equally own Crown ESA.

Crown ESA's expertise in both new and old technologies distinguishes it from its competitors. The Company offers a multitude of low-cost solutions by interfacing clients' older equipment with new installations and addressing only the failed or problem area of the process control system. In January 1999, Crown ESA acquired PK Engineering (PKE), a manufacturer of process control enclosures, bringing in-house a previously outsourced operation.

Today Crown ESA has become a leading industrial automation and process control company serving a diverse portfolio of prestigious domestic and international customers. The Company was ranked #479 in the Inc. 500, a list of the 500 fastest growing companies in the United States. Also, the Company was recognized for its excellent past performance and future growth prospects in 2000 and 2001 by receiving the Indiana Growth 100 Award. Furthermore, the owners of Crown ESA were presented the Entrepreneur Success Award for the state of Indiana in 2001.
